Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the WhiteVault application. Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User” or “you”) and WhiteVault Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding your access to and use of the WhiteVault mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, downloading, or using the Service, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use of the Service.
Effective Date
These terms are effective as of December 26, 2025.
2. The Zero-Knowledge Security Model
CRITICAL USER WARNING
By using this Service, you explicitly acknowledge and accept the following:
- No Password Recovery If you lose or forget your Master Password, we CANNOT recover it for you. Your data will be permanently inaccessible.
- Sole Responsibility You are solely responsible for remembering your credentials and keeping your recovery phrase secure.
- No Backend Access WhiteVault employees, engineers, and support staff cannot view your stored passwords, notes, or documents under any circumstances.
3. User Eligibility & Accounts
To use the Service, you must:
- Age Requirement Be at least 18 years of age. The Service is not intended for minors.
- Accuracy Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
- Security Maintain the security of your device and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
WhiteVault offers both free and paid subscription tiers:
- Basic (Free) Includes unlimited password storage on a single device type with local-only storage.
- Premium (Paid) Includes encrypted cloud synchronization, multi-device support, encrypted file attachments, and priority support.
Billing Terms
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis. Payment will be charged to your chosen payment method at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Refunds are handled according to the policies of the platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) through which you subscribed.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Illegal Activity Store, transmit, or share content that violates the laws of India or your local jurisdiction, including CSAM, stolen credentials, or malware.
- System Abuse Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or breach any security or authentication measures.
- Reverse Engineering Decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the software to build a competitive product.
Violation of these terms may result in the immediate termination of your account without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
The WhiteVault Service, including but not limited to its source code, design, interface, text, graphics, and trademarks, is the exclusive property of WhiteVault Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of the data you upload and store in your vault (“User Content”). We claim no intellectual property rights over the material you provide to the Service.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WHITEVAULT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WHITEVAULT INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Data Loss Loss of data resulting from a forgotten Master Password or device failure.
- Unauthorized Access Damages resulting from your failure to secure your device or credentials.
- Service Interruptions Losses arising from temporary service unavailability.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WhiteVault Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
You agree to resolve any disputes informally by contacting support@whitevaultapp.com prior to initiating legal action.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the date at the top of these Terms and, in some cases, providing you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you a notification).
Your continued use of the Service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Service.
